HSA Streaming Live Series: Part 2:
Understanding Where, When, and How HSAs and Medicare IntersectThursday, September 20th at 9:00 a.m.

Program Description: One of the more confusing areas in employee benefits occurs at the intersection of reimbursement accounts, working seniors, and Medicare. In this presentation, William G. (Bill) Stuart, director of strategy and compliance at Benefit Strategies, LLC, and secretary of the Massachusetts chapter of NAHU, addresses these topics. The discussion focuses on the interaction of Health FSAs, HRAs, and particularly HSAs on working seniors who are eligible for or enrolled in Medicare, who are collecting Social Security benefits, and who have spouses who might fit into one of these categories. He presents some practical solutions and outlines potential changes to federal tax law to mitigate some of the disadvantages that certain working seniors face when they want to continue to participate fully in their employer’s HSA program but currently cannot.
