Guests attentive as Representative Walsh,Chair of Health Care Financing, speaks at MassAHU luncheon

MassAHU invited members and their guests  for a special luncheon event in Braintree with Representative Steven Walsh as invited Guest Speaker. Representative Walsh shared his perspective on the issues surrounding health care affordability. Also attending this event was Representative Conroy, Vice Chair, Joint Committee on Health Care Financing.

Jeff Rich, MassAHU Board Member and CEO of Health Services Administrators and sponsor of this event along with MassAHU Legislative Counsel, Dan Foley, Jr., Esq. were the regional hosts.

Opening remarks were made by Mark S. Gaunya, President of MassAHU.  Following Representative Walsh’s talk and his generous allotment of Q&A, a panel of experts representing a cross section of the brokerage community provide their brief perspectives on health exchanges,  transparency, the status of the federal MLR legislation.
